Weybridge to Shepperton Ferry Timetable & Fares

The current ferry enables people walking or cycling the Thames Path to continue their journey past Shepperton Lock without being diverted by the Wey Navigation.

The ferry runs from 8.30am to 5.30pm on weekdays, 9am – 5pm on Saturdays and 10am – 5pm on Sundays.

The ferry runs every 15 minutes and you should ring the bell on the quarter hour if coming from the south (Weybridge) side to ensure the ferryman knows you are waiting.

The bell on the Weybridge side is located at the bottom of the quayside steps.

The charges for the ferry are as follows:

Single: Adult £2.50 (£3.50 with bike), Child £1.25 (£1.75 with bike)
Return: Adult £4 (£5 with bike), Child £2 (£2.50 with bike)
Weekly: Adult £7.50, Child £3.75
Weekly with bike: £10 Adult, £5 Child

With the exception of a twenty year gap until 1986, there has been a ferry between Shepperton and Weybridge for around 500 years.

It was also famously featured in H. G. Wells’ novel War of the Worlds (H. G. Wells lived in nearby town of Woking).
