The Weybridge Male Voice Choir is holding
its Spring Concert under the
baton of Musical Director Christine Best and
accompanied by pianist Mike Wood.
Appearing with the Choir will be guests
from the Yehudi Menuhin School, including
Headmaster Nicholas Chisholm and some talented
school pupils. Nicolas, who has been
Headmaster of the school for the past 22
years, is retiring at the end of the summer
term.
He has been a regular member of the
audience at Weybridge Male Voice Choir
Concerts but this will be the first time he
has performed with them. He is an accomplished
professional tenor and will be singing a
selection of English folk songs arranged by
Benjamin Britten.
The association with the Yehudi Menuhin
School goes back some 30 years, at which time
the School’s Director of Music, Malcolm
Singer, was musical director of the Weybridge
Choir and is currently the Choir’s President.
